Who cares in Worcestershire?

To work with residents and village groups in order to improve the local environment and quality of life for Cookley residents. Present Project: A Space for All aims to increase the range and quality of leisure and recreational facilities on Cookley playing fields. Phase 1 was completed in 2005 and provides a range of play equipment for young children, a community seating area and an area with a skateboard park, BMX track and a hangout shelter for young people. Implementation of Phase 2 of the "A Space For All" project began in 2006. In collaboration with British Waterways, a canalside terrace and access path suitable for use by all ages and for both the able and disabled was constructed. Future provision will include seating, information boards and walks around the site. Opportunities will be created for community involvement in ecological surveys, practical conservation, guided walks, environmental arts projects.
