Description

he Trust cares for over 70 nature reserves throughout Worcestershire. Around 350 volunteers are involved in every aspect of the Trust's work from its governance, practical conservation tasks and at events and activities. We work with the widest range of individuals and organisations to promote and create a Living Landscape for wildlife and people. We run an educational programme for schools and colleges providing curriculum based sessions for all ages. These are based at our purpose-built education centre at Lower Smite Farm or on nature reserves. We also run a series of introductory courses for adults and many informal public events through the year. Nine local groups run by volunteers offer a programme of talks and walks at locations throughout the county. Lower Smite Farm offers a series of well equipped and attractive meeting and conference rooms for hire. To suit small and large groups. Full details on the web site and all profits generated support the charitable work of the Trust. Ecological advice is provided on a commercial basis by Worcestershire Wildlife Consultancy - all profits generated by this independent company are covenanted back to Worcestershire Wildlife Trust. Clients range from individuals to local authorities and works include compliance with protected species legislation (badgers, bats, great crested nets e.g.). The Trust's offices are at Lower Smite Farm and are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm website address: www.worcswildlifetrust.co.uk
