Garage Art Group (G.A.G), Vale Art Studio, Crown Court Yard, Evesham. The Garage Art Group is open to all and its emphasis is on the benefit of Art to Health. Professional tutors run groups for clients who have had or are having mental health problems and clients who have learning difficulties. Some of our aims are to enhance the confidence of students through a sense of achievement. We use the art as a vehicle for developing the life skills and coping strategies of the students. We aim to breakdown social barriers and stigma relating to the core client group. Through social interaction we aim to develop group skills via support for each other working in a co-operative manner. We have now built up a good reputation and have referrals from the Community Mental Health Team, Social Services, Life Links and Onside Advocacy.
